1st Place Prize

A two week placement at the London Stock Exchange + £1000 donated by Claire Mascall’s Family

The placement will take place during the 2nd and 3rd weeks of July 2011 when the LSE’s Q1 results are announced and also the shareholders AGM will also be taking place. The placement would include time spent within the following departments:

• Press Office (preparing release of Q1 results, media monitoring etc)
• The Corporate Events Team (responsible for the coordination of the AGM)
• The Media Suite (shadowing technicians, watching live broadcast interviews by various company representatives for news agencies such as the BBC)
• Brand Development (brand design, web editing including practical experience)

 The LSE would be able to provide accommodation at the London School of Economics in central London (availability due to being outside of academic year).

2nd Place Prizes

1. Two week placement at MCG PR + £500 donated by Redmayne-Bentley
2. Two week placement tbc + £500 donated by John Morgan

Shortlisted students will also be able to include their entries in their PR portfolio.

Prize Giving

 The judges will announce the overall winner and the two runner-ups at the CIPR Guest Lecture in December.
