The judges

The judges will looking for creative and concise submissions that demonstrate a keen interest in the development of social media in the PR industry, with high quality and depth of discussion, contemporary views, creativity and clear recommendations made based on sound industry research and analysis.


Professor Anne Gregory is Director of the Centre for Public Relations Studies and Pro-Vice-Chancellor at Leeds Metropolitan University. The Centre which she leads undertakes consultancy and research on public relations as a strategic management discipline. Apart from being an academic of international standing, publishing and speaking around the world, Anne advises UK Government Departments and private sector organisations on strategic issues.  When President of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations in 2004, she led it to Chartered status and in 2009 was awarded the Institute’s Sir Stephen Tallents Medal for her outstanding contribution to and in public relations.

Charlie is Claire Mascall's daughter. She has worked as an editor in corporate communications for over 10 years and more recently has branched into web news journalism, content management, photography and design.

Christine Mortimer is Co-founder of MCG PR, the CIPR’s Outstanding Consultancy for Yorkshire and The Humber in  2009. She has more than 20 years’ experience in PR working both in-house for major utilities and in consultancy for  market-leading brands and organisations. A former journalist, she is a long-standing member of the CIPR.
